Predestined

Throughout history and today, certain people found favor with the Lord. How did this happen?

2Th. 2:14 It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Gen. 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

Gen. 12:2 And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you,
And make your name great;
And so you shall be a blessing;

Israel

Ex. 23:20 ¶ "Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

Ex. 34:9 He said, "If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your own possession."

Lev. 26:12 'I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.

Jesus

Rom. 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;
Rom. 8:30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

1Pet. 1:2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.
