Our Father Forgives

God freely gave us the gift of forgiveness. However, only those who were and are His Children can receive the gift by accepting the Word, being baptized and receiving the Spirit, the mind, breath of the new life and wind of God. What does that do to a person? They become a new creation, Sons and Daughters of God.

Breath of life: Adam received life from the air and received an intellect capable of language from the ruach.

Others receive the Holy Spirit, mind of God, the breath of eternal life, an intellect capable of speaking God’s language and more.

All gifts have a cost or come from someplace. Look at the gift of life, the Creation. God first created light.

1John 1:5 ¶ This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
1John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;

James 1:17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
James 1:18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

2Pet. 1:21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

What is the cost of the gift of forgiveness given freely to us?

1Cor. 15:21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.

Heb. 9:15 ¶ For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

1John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
