How to Keep the Commandments

Commandments there, but few keep them. Here are some ways to.

Know the Commandments by Hearing and Seeing

Deut. 30:10 (NAS95S) If you  obey The Lord Your God to keep His Commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law,  if you turn to The Lord Your God with all your heart and soul.

Deut. 30:14 (NAS95S) “But the Word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it.

Heb. 2:1 (NAS95S) ¶ For this reason we must pay much closer attention to  what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.
Heb. 2:2 (NAS95S) for if the Word spoken through angels proved  unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just  penalty,
Heb. 2:3 (NAS95S) How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?  After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,

1Kings 8:58 (NAS95S) That He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His Commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, which He commanded our fathers.

Speak the Word

Rom. 10:10 (NAS95S) for with the heart a person believes,  resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,  resulting in salvation.

What God says comes from whom He is. When we speak the same Words of the Commandments, God’s mind enters our mind, and we become the Sons of God behaving as our Father.

Walk by the Word

1Kings 8:61 (NAS95S) “Let your heart therefore be  wholly devoted to the Lord Our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His Commandments, as at this day.”

2Kings 23:3 (NAS95S) The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep His Commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people  entered into the covenant.

1Chr. 29:19 (NAS95S) And give to my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep your Commandments, your testimonies and your statutes, and to do them all, and to build the  temple, for which I have made provision.”

Humbling and Testing People

Deut. 8:2 (NAS95S) “You shall remember all the way which the Lord Your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His Commandments or not.

Judg. 2:22 (NAS95S) in order to test Israel by them, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk in it as their fathers  did, or not.”

Ex. 20:20 (NAS95S) Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may  remain with you, so that you may not sin.”

2Chr. 32:31 (NAS95S) even in the matter of  the envoys of the rulers of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that had happened in the land, God left him alone only  to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

1Pet. 5:6 (NAS95S) ¶ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

Psa. 76:9 (NAS95S) when God arose to judgment,
            to save all the humble of the earth.

Psa. 69:32 (NAS95S) The humble  have seen it and are glad;
            you who seek God, let your heart  revive.

Return to God

Psa. 69:32 (NAS95S) The humble  have seen it and are glad;
            you who seek God, let your heart  revive.

Neh. 1:9 (NAS95S) But if you return to Me and keep My Commandments and do them, though those of you who have been scattered were in the most remote part of the heavens, I will gather them from there and will bring them to the place where I have chosen to cause My Name to dwell.’

The Commandments are for every person

Eccl. 12:13 (NAS95S) ¶ The conclusion, when all has been heard, is:  fear God and keep His Commandments, because this applies to  every person.
