God Enlightens Our Hearts

The hidden person of the heart enlightens our ways. How?

Rom. 1:19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
Rom. 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Gen. 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Light, bright, shine; be light, bright; give light, shine, cause to shine, kindle, enlighten, show favor, nom. light, daylight, dawn, lightning, nom. fire, east, nom. light, nom. light-bearer.

Psa. 119:105 ¶ Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

Psa. 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?

Psa. 18:28 For You light my lamp;
The LORD my God illumines my darkness.

Psa. 19:7 ¶ The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psa. 19:8 The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Job 29:3 When His lamp shone over my head,
And by His light I walked through darkness;
Job 29:4 As I was in the prime of my days,

2Pet. 1:19 ¶ So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

2Cor. 4:6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
