God Rules

God Created the Universe

After years of trying to discredit and disprove the Bible, scientists generally agree that there was a creation and a creator, or Creator, because the universe had a beginning and has been expanding since the beginning. Since God is the Creator, the world and particularly the Earth belong to Him, and He intrinsically must rule the planet and all that is on it. This world is not your world or my world, but God’s world.

Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Consent of the Governed

No one can rule without the consent of the governed. At some point the governed may regret giving consent to certain tyrants, but they may be unable to undo what they have done. At the beginning of Saddam Hussein’s rule, he convinced the Iraqis by hook or by crook to allow him to govern them, which most lived, or didn’t, to their great grief. Not unusual, for Satan also deceived Eve, whom Adam regrettably followed, to make it master of the Earth.

Adam and Eve Choose to Be Ruled by Satan

Satan disguised as a talking snake convincing lied about God and promised them things which were extremely appealing, as they will not die and will be like God. We all know the story.

Gen. 3:4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!
Gen. 3:5 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Why Choose Satan as the Ruler of Planet Earth?

God said that if Adam and Eve ate from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they will surely die and return to the clay God formed them from. That was the only “don’t” and, of course, they wanted to do the “don’t”, just as today, most people want to do what they are told not to. They think that something good is being denied them, whether it’s speeding or fudging on taxes, as two outré examples. Satan first told them that they wouldn’t die, and if so than “all bets are off,” eat away. Then, the clever, deceiving serpent used a bit of what God said to buttress its argument: eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil will make them know good and evil and, thus, be like God. See, it’s true; all the good things are either illegal or fattening. So, Eve looked at the prohibited tree and saw it looked tasty, so how could it cause death, for it obviously wasn’t poison. And they ate and they died, and they really never learned the difference between good and evil. But, it was tasty. If they had it to do over, would they regret it? Who knows, but like the Iraqis accepting Hussein, what’s done is done and cannot easily be undone. It would take a lot to rid the planet of its chosen ruler, the serpentine Satan. And, unfortunately, almost every person on Earth would re-elect Satan as king of Earth because they all refuse to keep the Ten Commandments, as written, especially the first four beginning with the clever play on words of God being One but three person in the One. How God manages to be three people and still be one Person, as the Bible says, is hard to fathom. So “good” people will keep all but one or two of the commandments and expect to go to heaven as a reward — you know, never die. And the lie goes on.

The Kingdom of Satan

Most people think that the story of Adam and Eve and the serpent is some interesting myth, but has little to do with reality. Yet, the catastrophic events some six thousand years ago shaped the history of the Earth. Once Adam chose Satan as his god and ruler of the Earth, he set a path of destruction and death for human kind. Once chosen by the leader of the human beings, the demon had full authority to rule, and Earth became its realm. All those born to Adam and Eve and their children’s children were born into the kingdom of Satan, for there was no other nation or kingdom in existence. Just as children born in the country of their parents become citizens or subjects of that country. With many nations to choose from today, a person after he or she becomes of age may decide to change his citizenship. But not then. Besides all born on Earth belong to the kingdom of Earth ruled by Satan. Mars is not an option.

The demon ruled ruthlessly and caused unparalleled crime and violence, to the point where God determined to rid the planet of humans. But, He found one man who refused to follow the ways of evil, and God had this man build an ark to be able to float away during the destructive flood which killed all other humans. Once the flood destroyed every one except Noah and his family, God could start anew. Then God had a human who chose to pledge allegiance to God. For the first time in human history, humans had a nation apart from Satan’s. Yet, even Noah’s children left the dominion he was patriarch of and aligned themselves with Satan. Noah’s patriarchate quickly became insignificant because again humans chose Satan’s deceptions, and its kingdom grew huge once again, but not all encompassing. Ancient names like Nimrod and Simaramis dominated Satan’s kingdom and brought forth a new form of government and religion that presaged predominate faiths existent today. Those ancients knew God and feared Him, but found rites and ways of worship that were satanically inspired. It was a form of religion without the power. Going to heaven, trinity, and idol and sun worship were major tenets of this ancient Babylonian Mystery Religion.

Later, those loyal to Noah, and more importantly to God, continued to exist and grow. Finally, one man had incomparable loyalty (faithfulness) to God and He made a covenant with him, which among other things would make a great nation from Abraham. This one coming nation would be the only oasis in the desert of Earth’s moral depravity.

A New Kingdom

While Satan continued to defile the minds of the vast majority of people’s minds, God developed His plan to save mankind from Satan despotism and totalitarianism. From one of Noah’s sons who was always faithful to God, God found the man most loyal to Him, Abram (later renamed Abraham) through whom He would establish one nation dedicated to His Truth, at least in theory. Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac Jacob and eventually Moses was begotten through whom God established a nation under Him, from time to time. To these people God gave His Laws and Way of Life, wrought miracles, and generally became their Ruler and God. Israel would be the keeper of the Word, and even kept the Word, from time to time. Hated by the world for being keepers of the Word, many Israelites succumbed to Satan’s deceptions prevalent in the world; nonetheless acting pagan never removed Jewishness from their ethnicity. Even when their widespread perfidy forced God to cast them forth for some time, there were always faithful Israelites who never had forsaken God throughout history. But Israel was not God’s final solution to save people from the slavery to Satan’s evil kingdom.

So once people choose their ruler, they obligated themselves for the duration of the term. Once the Electoral College elects the president, he or she remains in office for four years unless convicted by the Senate after impeachment. Senators for six years unless recalled and so forth. Thus, the Earthlings had an opportunity to opt out of Satan’s domain by joining Israel even if they were not born “Jewish.”

The Kingdom of God

Not satisfied with Israel’s constant vacillation, which God expected any way, God moved His plan forward to saving mankind from the evil totalitarianism and terrorism of Satan’s despotism.
The legal problem was that once a person broke God’s Laws, the Ten Commandments, he or she was ineligible to receive salvation, that is, complete freedom from sin, which put him or her into Sa-tan’s camp, like it or not. God planned (logos) from the beginning to beget a son, who being perfect in obedience to Our Father in Heaven, could destroy the writ of servitude to sin and Satan. Jesus, who never sinned, died in place of sinners and fulfilled God’s legal requirement of the death penalty for sinners and His mercy to save humans from the tyranny of Satan.

Jesus, thus, ended Satan’s totalitarian despotism of planet Earth. All a person had to do was believe Jesus freed them and opened the gate to the Kingdom of God, and they would be able to change citizenship from Satan’s domain to God’s.

John 6:40 “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.

A person must go through the “process,” a popular term today, of baptism — being washed from sins and being buried with Christ — and having hands laid on them — receiving the power at work within from God Himself, the Holy Spirit. Now a person can have duel citizenship of, say, the United States or the UK and the Kingdom of God. Never, any more of Satan’s World citizenship, actually subjection!

From Jesus death and resurrection forward, people of Earth have the legal choice to be governed by God and His Laws rather than Satan’s way of sin and death. Through Jesus God wrested Satan’s control of people and saved them. Legally, the people of Earth are no longer obligated to Adam’s choice of ruler. Now they can legally choose anew to join the Kingdom of God. Earthlings, thanks to God through Jesus have a second chance, as Jesus is the second Adam.

1Cor. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
1Cor. 15:45 So also it is written, “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

The Shifting Battle Field

Like all tyrants, Satan clings on to its domain with all its might and skill. Even in the early church, the demon began to co-opt the truth and bend it to its way. Satan sent spies to learn how it could use the power without the Truth. Simon Magnus, who many think was the first Pope, wanted the ability to apprehend the Holy Spirit. Satan knew how to cloud men’s minds with a little Truth here and some fabrication there. All right if the Church thought of Jesus as King, therefore, kings are gods, and so was Jesus. Thus, the seeds of trinity were born. Since the Romans would not give up Saturnalia, they changed the name to Christmas and made it the day Christ was born. I’ve talked about this many times. So, Satan kept some Christian stuff and mingled it with its religion, with the crowning tiara of Sunday worship, the sun being the symbol for Satan. But, while Satan could put forth all the old deception under the guise of Christianity, we now know better because all the deceptions are readily available to all who wish to know the Truth and be set free.

John 8:32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

What is the Truth?

Pilate asked the question of Jesus before he turned him over to the Jews to be martyred. Jesus told him that God’s Word is Truth. What does that mean? It means that God’s plan to save people from the gruesome mistake in choosing Satan as the ruler of the Earth could be undone by Jesus’ death for our sins and his subsequent resurrection. And, if we abide by God’s Laws as written in the Book of Truth, we are freed from Satan’s slavery and become free to enter the Kingdom of God.

If people abide by the Law, is a big if for many. Satan continues to ask, did God say? Even when the Book of Truth plainly says, as it does in almost two hundred scriptures that God is One Person, traditional religions claim God is a trinity, three persons. Jesus was asked what is the most important commandment, and he answered:

Mark 12:28 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?”
Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD;

Some one retorted about the two hundred scriptures proving God is One Person by decrying the fact that none of the few confusing scriptures that indicate Jesus is the second person of the trinity was included. Huh?

1Cor. 8:4 ¶ Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that there is no such thing as an idol in the world, and that there is no God but one.

Freedom

Jesus freed the entire planet from Satan’s reign of terror. Legally, no one has to obey the law of sin and death, which marked Satan’s government. The stigma of slavery has been removed forever. All the things sin does to a person is gone — from mental illness, crime, lawlessness, sickness, hatred, wars and rumors of war. All right, the body was not made to live forever, so it will ail and die, but the inner person of God will live forever in a new resurrected body.

This truth, that Jesus rules with righteousness and justice and freed mankind to enter the Kingdom of God, is something Satan tries to hide assiduously from hapless mankind. But the law is the law except here ignorance of the law of life leads people to live frustrated lives of lies and malevolence.

Rom. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 1John 3:9 No one who is born of God practices sin, be-cause His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1John 3:8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

Enter the Kingdom of God

How then does a person extricate himself from the oppression of the demon’s domain? The first thing he has to do is realize the truth of the gospel: Jesus destroyed the slavery of sin and death by dying for the sins of all people. Jesus legally paid the death penalty resulting from disobeying God’s Laws. Since Jesus never sinned, death could only hold him three days and nights until the God and Father of Jesus resurrected him and sat him at His right hand forever.

Then a person understands the value of being in the Kingdom of God, just as so many immigrants to the United States realize the value of freedom found in America. They see the Kingdom of God as a pearl of great value, as land worth selling all to buy into. They become so excited to enter the Kingdom of God that they are willing to endure all manner of hardships to travel to this priceless country. They choose the road less traveled and refuse to be sidetracked by any distraction. With eyes focused on the objective, they plod step by step until they reach the goal. Neither rain nor storm, neither heat or drought, neither sickness or pain, neither torment nor ridicule will deter them from the Kingdom of God.

Matt. 13:44 ¶ “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Matt. 13:45 ¶ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls,
Matt. 13:46 and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Mark 4:26 ¶ And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil;
Mark 4:27 and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know.
Mark 4:30 ¶ And He said, “How shall we picture the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we present it?
Mark 4:31 “It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds that are upon the soil,
Mark 4:32 yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and forms large branches; so that THE BIRDS OF THE AIR can NEST UNDER ITS SHADE.”

Conclusion

When people finally see through the fog of deception emanating from the master of deceit, they will unmistakably discern the benefit of immigrating to the Kingdom of God. Let Jesus lead us from the world of darkness and slavery and embrace the light and freedom that he suffered and died to bring us.

Luke 8:10 And He said, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.
Luke 8:11 ¶ “Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.
Luke 8:12 “Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.
Luke 8:13 “Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away.
Luke 8:14 “The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
Luke 8:15 “But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.
