Formation of Man

The Fifth day lays the foundation for man’s creation.

Fifth Day

Gen. 1:20 (NAS95S) ¶ Then God said, “Let the waters  teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth  in the open  expanse of the heavens.”
Gen. 1:21 (NAS95S) God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
Gen. 1:22 (NAS95S) God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
Gen. 1:23 (NAS95S) There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.

Sixth Day

Gen. 1:24 (NAS95S) ¶ Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after  their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after  their kind”; and it was so.
Gen. 1:25 (NAS95S) God made the beasts of the earth after  their kind, and the cattle after  their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

God made them to recreate, to be kinds of a Creator, that made them.

Gen. 1:26 (NAS95S) ¶ Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the  sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Gen. 1:27 (NAS95S) God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

With woman in mind to continue the Creation, she would with Adam, create, recreate humans in God’s image.

Eve was formed from Adams rib after the creation. He had the potential by God’s creation to garner a female.

Just as many creatures were yet to reproduce, as the time was not yet ready.

Gen. 1:28 (NAS95S) God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the  sky and over every living thing that  moves on the earth.”
Gen. 1:29 (NAS95S) Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the  surface of all the earth, and every tree  which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
Gen. 1:30 (NAS95S) and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the  sky and to every thing that  moves on the earth  which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so.
Gen. 1:31 (NAS95S) God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Gen. 2:7 (NAS95S) Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living  being.
Gen. 2:8 (NAS95S) The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.
Gen. 2:9 (NAS95S) Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow  every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food;  the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Gen. 2:10 (NAS95S) ¶ Now a river  flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four  rivers.
Gen. 2:11 (NAS95S) The name of the first is Pishon; it  flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.
Gen. 2:12 (NAS95S) The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there.
Gen. 2:13 (NAS95S) The name of the second river is Gihon; it  flows around the whole land of Cush.
Gen. 2:14 (NAS95S) The name of the third river is  Tigris; it  flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the  Euphrates.
Gen. 2:15 (NAS95S) ¶ Then the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it.
